Jeff Finkelstein founded Essex Dental Professionals in 1985 with the goal of establishing a general family dentistry practice with an emphasis on family. In an age when many dentists have lost touch with their patients, Dr. Finkelstein continues to concentrate on meeting the specific needs of each individual family member in a friendly, relaxed environment.

Dr. Finkelstein graduated from West Orange Mountain High School in 1971. He holds a BA in biological sciences from Rutgers College and an MS in biology from Seton Hall University. He received his DMD from the Fairleigh Dickenson School of Dentistry in 1981 and graduated from the Misch Implant Institute in 1992. He regularly participates in continuing education and professional development courses to stay current with the latest dental techniques and procedures. Dr. Finkelstein and his family reside in Livingston.

Dr. Gary Borker, D.M.D.

Dr. Borker graduated Cranford High School in 1982, achieved a BS Biology and BA Economics from Hartford University and received his DMD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 1990. He completed his general dentistry residency in 1991. He has been associated with Essex Dental Professionals since 2005. Dr. Borker and his family reside in Livingston and his wife Julie is a pharmacist in Montville, NJ.

Dental Hygienists

Susan and Lynn each have over twenty years experience as dental hygienists; they are both long time Essex Dental employees, and both reside in Livingston.

Dental Assistants

All of our dental assistants are long-term employees. Angelika, Michelle, and Natalie each have between seven and fifteen years of service with Essex Dental Professionals. They coordinate all scheduling, insurance, and billing, and they are all licensed to take x-rays as well.
